The combination transforms the basketball program and forges lasting friendships through the power of teamwork and inclusion.
The team is named after our other sports teams and have a regular practice schedule. The Cavaliers, learn the fundamentals of basketball together which is bonded over shared goals with all loving the game. Student’s talents are showcased during the games. This year they had most of their home games scheduled during the school day which allowed many students to attend the games and cheer the players on.
Despite not having won every game the JSEC Cavaliers achieved victory both on and off the court. Friendships were built, skill levels improved, and a space was built where everyone felt valued and belonged. This team became a symbol of transformation which has been an inspiration to all players, parents, and fans. The Cavaliers are mid-season and just finished their 4th home game. Congrats to the entire team including players, fans, and coaches for a well played season filled with the best sportsmanship seen on a basketball court.
