Monster -Book Review by: Victor Urizar
Monster was a special book to read. It has good details with a splendid plotline. Also, the book is partially written in the form of a script which is the record of a trial, the trial of the main character, Steve Harmon. The use of the script was unique compared to other books that I have read. This is hands down one of the best books I’ve read so far.
Monster was a really deep story told from the perspective of sixteen year old Steve Harmon who has been wrongfully accused of a crime he did not commit and served some time. It really opens your eyes about the racial injustice and dehumanization that happens behind the scenes.
I would recommend this book to those who want to have a look at the law through a young adult’s perspective.
