U.S. Military Visits Juanita Sanchez High School PE/Health Classes
Members of the U.S. military visited our school and had students participate in different activities and share information about career opportunities. They included challenges like a Pacer test and a push-up competition, which allowed students to test their physical abilities in a fun environment. These activities not only encouraged friendly competition but also gave us students a look into the physical training that is an important part of military life.
Other than sharing the physical challenges within the military, the Army Representatives Christopher Zuniga and Collin spoke about the many benefits and opportunities that come with the military service. They explained how joining the military can help pay for college through scholarships and tuition assistance programs. Students learned about different career paths the military has to offer. They also emphasized about the valuable skill and experiences that can be gained, which can be useful both during and after military service.
This visit gave Jaunita Sanchez students a better understanding of military opportunities. With hands on activities and conversations with both service members, JSEC students then had the opportunity to ask questions and consider if the military may be a right fit or career path for them. Visits like this help students make better choices about their future and explore different career paths.
