The JSEC Football Team, led by our very own Jy’rell Oyedele, Jamart Tuazama, Josiah Franco, and Jon Richardson, brought home the Season’s first victory versus Tollgate High School this past Saturday, Sept 13th, 2025. The JSEC Cavaliers team consists of 4 different schools: The Juanita Sanchez Educational Complex (JSEC), Providence Country Day (PCD), the MET, and Youth Build. The game began on 1PM on a beautiful Saturday afternoon, which was perfect for football. All the practice and hard work finally paid off with the team’s first win of the 2025-2026 Season.

“We were pumped after that then Tollgate ended up scoring on us then the team started to slow down. Then we had the ball and we executed a pass play to one of the receivers and we scored and put up a 14-8 lead. We were confident that we won but then once Tollgate got the ball they brought it down the field and was close to the endzone. They did their own pass play and their receiver caught the ball but one of our players came down and laid a huge hit, which caused the ball to be incomplete. That sealed the game. We had to include that JSEC’s very own Jamart Tuazama, caught a game winning touchdown with 2 minutes left. Then, as mentioned earlier, our defense came and held Tollgate with zero points giving JSEC the win. JSEC’s montra has always been T E A M. Together Everyone Achieves More and this past Saturday we proved that working together we can accomplish anything! The fans were flooded with parents, teachers, community members, neighbors, friends, and family. The combination of beautiful weather, people, and of course this first win of the season made for a perfect Cavalier type of day!
